Quality Standards
Service Expectations
These are the quality standards our Excavation, Earthworks & Foundations professionals follow to ensure you get the best service.
Essential Standards
Soil condition assessment
Soil type is assessed before digging and handled correctly (e.g. rock, clay, or waterlogged ground treated differently).
Trench collapse prevention
Trenches and deep cuts are shored, benched, or sloped to prevent cave-ins on workers.
Foundation accuracy & compaction
Excavation depth, levels, and compaction density match the engineering spec for the foundation.
Utility locate & permits
Underground utilities are located and permits obtained before any digging near roads or services.
Certified excavator operator
Excavator/earthmoving operators hold valid plant-operation certification for the machinery used.
Equipment condition & insurance
Machines are well-maintained, in safe working order, and covered by valid equipment insurance.
Dewatering & drainage control
Groundwater and surface water are pumped or diverted so the excavation stays stable and workable.
Site restoration & backfill
Excess spoil is removed or graded neatly and the surrounding ground is restored after works.
