Terms of Service

1.Introduction

Welcome to Uven! This Terms of Use and User Agreement ("Agreement" or "Terms") constitutes a legally binding contract between you ("you," "your," or "User") and Uven Tech Ltd ("Uven," "we," "us," or "our"), the owner and operator of the Uven platform.

By registering for an account, accessing, or using our Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Platform.

2.Definitions

"Platform":Refers to the Uven website, mobile applications, tools, and all associated services.
"Client":A User who registers to request, book, and pay for Services from a Provider.
"Provider":A User, operating as an independent contractor, who registers to offer and perform Services for Clients.
"Service":The specific home or lifestyle task or job requested by a Client and agreed to be performed by a Provider.
"Escrow Account":A dedicated account managed by Uven or a third-party payment processor to hold the Service Payment.

3.The Uven Platform

3.1. Nature of the Platform

Uven provides a marketplace to connect Clients seeking home and lifestyle services with Providers who can offer those services.

3.2. Uven is NOT a Service Provider

Uven does not directly provide the Services listed on the Platform. Providers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of Uven.

3.3. No Employment Relationship

You acknowledge and agree that Uven is not an employer. As a Provider, you are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, tools, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.User Eligibility and Accounts

4.1. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.

4.2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use most features of the Platform. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information.
  • Keep your password secure and confidential.
  • Notify Uven immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5.Provider Verification

5.1. Background Checks

Uven may, at its discretion, facilitate verification and background checks on Providers using third-party services.

5.2. Provider Responsibility

Providers must consent to these checks as a condition of using the Platform and must provide all necessary information and documentation.

5.3. Disclaimer

While Uven facilitates these checks to build a community of trust, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any background check.

6.Financial Terms

6.1. Booking and Service Payment

When a Client books a Service, they agree to pay the full Service Payment as quoted on the Platform.

6.2. Escrow Service

The Service Payment is held in escrow until the Provider marks the Service as complete AND the Client confirms completion through the Platform.

6.3. Uven Service Fee

Uven charges Providers a Service Fee for each completed Booking. This fee is automatically deducted from the Service Payment.

7.Dispute Resolution

7.1. User-to-User Resolution: Clients and Providers are strongly encouraged to first attempt to resolve the issue amicably using the Uven chat system.

7.2. Formal Dispute with Uven: If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate the issue to Uven by submitting a formal dispute claim through the Platform.

7.3. Uven's Role: Uven will act as a neutral mediator to resolve the Dispute.

7.4. Finality of Decision: You agree that Uven's decision with respect to any funds held in Escrow is final and binding on both the Client and the Provider.
