Quality Standards
Service Expectations
These are the quality standards our Tiling & Stonework professionals follow to ensure you get the best service.
Essential Standards
Tile Level & Alignment
Tiles are laid flat, level and in straight, consistent lines with no lippage between adjacent tiles.
Grout Line Consistency
Grout lines are uniform in width, fully filled, and properly sealed to prevent water penetration.
Substrate Waterproofing
Wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens have waterproof membrane applied and tested before tiles are laid.
Adhesion Quality
Tiles are fully bonded with no hollow-sounding spots that risk future cracking or detachment.
Cutting Precision
Tile cuts around pipes, sockets and corners are precise and neatly finished, not chipped or gapped.
Pattern & Layout Matching
Tile pattern, direction and stone veining are matched and aligned as agreed, such as book-matched marble.
Material Batch Consistency
Tiles/stone used are from the agreed grade and batch, avoiding visible color or shade variation.
Edge & Trim Finishing
Edges, corners and transitions use proper trim/beading for a clean, safe finish.
Additional Quality Standards
Stone Polish Finish
Natural stone surfaces are polished to a high-gloss finish beyond the basic agreed spec.
Grout Haze Cleanup
Grout haze is cleaned off tile surfaces and offcuts/debris removed after the job.
